2020/21 ANNUAL REPORT OPEN FOR INSPECTION
The 2020/21 Draft Annual Report of the Nelson Mandela Bay Metropolitan Municipality was tabled in Council on 27 January 2022. The 2020/21 Draft Annual Report was referred to the Municipal Public Accounts Committee (MPAC) for review. The Municipality hereby invites comments from the public on the 2020/21 Annual Report.
Copies of the2020/21 Annual Report are available for inspection at all municipal libraries and customer care centres, as well as on the municipal website: www.nelsonmandelabay.gov.za.
Any comments on the 2020/21 Annual Report should be submitted to the Office of the City Manager (Attention: Chief Operating Officer) at PO Box 116, Port Elizabeth 6000 or e-mail: coo@mandelametro.gov.za by not later than THURSDAY, 30 JUNE 2022.

2022/23 IDP AND BUDGET REVIEW PUBLIC
PARTICIPATION PROGRAMME:
MONDAY, 16 MAY – FRIDAY, 27 MAY 2022
Chapter
4 of the Municipal Systems Act, Act No. 32 of 2000, stipulates that a
municipality must develop a culture of municipal governance that complements
formal representative governance and must for this purpose encourage and create
conditions for the local community to participate in the affairs of the
Municipality, including in the preparation, implementation and review of its
Integrated Development Plan in terms of Chapter 5. As part of the Integrated
Development Plan in terms of the Municipal Systems Act, minor amendments to the
Municipal Spatial Development Framework (2015) are to be included during the
public participation process.
During
the period from Monday, 16 May to Friday, 27 May 2022, the
Municipality will be conducting a series of public meetings on its 2022/23
Integrated Development Plan (IDP) and Budget.
Residents are also invited to view the 2022-2023 DRAFT Property Rates Policy and provide comments via the IDP input tab.
All
residents of Nelson Mandela Bay, including Stakeholders, Civil Society, Government
Departments and Parastatals, are encouraged to participate in these meetings in
order to improve development and service delivery in Nelson Mandela Bay. These
public consultations will be led by the Executive Mayor and the Mayoral
Committee.
Residents
are also invited to provide comments on the IDP, Budget and MSDF via the
municipal website at www.nelsonmandelabay.gov.za (under main link at the
top: FOR ME – Have your say – IDP input) or by downloading the NMBM
Mobile Application available on selected Mobile App Stores (submit comments
under IDP Input).
