PLANNED WATER SHUTDOWN ON THURSDAY

The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality would like to inform residents of a planned water shutdown on Thursday to allow the Makro store to connect into the existing water network.

During the operation which commence from 8am the City will also carry out some maintenance work.

The work will affect the water supply in Rowallan Park below Baywest turnoff, Kabega, Morningside, Hunters, Parsons Ridge, Francis Evatt Park, Westering, Malabar and Cotswold.

Water tankers will be dispatched and located at:

Hunters SuperSpar

MetLife Mall

Linton Spar, and;

Malabar Community Hall.

Planned water shutdown in Cotswold on Friday

The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality would like to inform residents of a planned water shutdown in Cotswold on Friday, 17 July 2020.

The operations forms part of the City’s war on leaks programme in an effort to save water. Maintenance work will be done on the inlet supply to the network and as a result residents are advised of the water shutdown which will commence from 9am until 2pm on Friday.

Water tankers will be distributed around Cotwold and stationed at:

Julane complex in Rowallan Park

Hunters Spar

Sherwood Spar

Malabar Ext 6

Framesby/Sunridge

Planned water shutdown in Markman

Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality would like to alert businesses in Markman about a planned water shutdown on Thursday, 9 July 2020.

A valve replacement will be done on Studebaker Street and Chevrolet Street. The water will go off from 8am and is expected to be restored later during the day.

Planned  water shutdown on Thursday

Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality would like to inform residents about a planned water shutdown on Thursday, 2 July 2020 in Summerstrand. This is to enable the Nelson Mandela University contractor to tie in the new 450 main pipe that was rerouted to make way for new student accommodation. The water will go off in the morning around 7am and is expected to be restored around 5pm on the same day.

Areas that will be affected will be:

Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSRI)

Wool Testing Bureau

Sanlam Student Village

Cheshire Homes and

Nelson Mandela University.

Water tankers will be arranged and stationed at the Cheshire Old Home and Sanlam Student Village. Another water tanker will be on standby during the day to assist with the water outage. We apologise for the inconvenience pending this critical work.
